Toby is the Commercial Project Manager at ion Ventures, an international renewable infrastructure developer where he focuses on feeding BESS projects though financial close and into operations, with a keen eye on long-term market evolution, Impact, and policy and regs.

He has held positions across the electricity industry, focusing on flexibility throughout. Starting at UKPN as an analyst then a project manager on the Low Carbon London programme gave a grounding in networks and flexibility. Markets, policy and regulation, and C&I customer needs came after that through product development at Orsted, then consultant and commercial roles at Veolia and GRIDSERVE respectively before joining ion.
