Stefano is a Mechanical Engineer, began his career almost 30 years ago in Ansaldo Energia as Project Engineer in large CCGT projects.

In 2001 he joined Axpo (at the time EGL) to start from scratch the energy origination business in Italy, creating a portfolio of more than 5 TWh/year from RES power plants.

In 2005 he co-founded Elettrogreen, the first independent trader focused on RES energy management in Italy – then sold to Engie (at the time GDF Suez) in 2010.

In 2011 he co-founded EGO Energy, among the top-energy market players in Italy (3.5 GW dispatched portfolio) and now 100% owned by Shell, capable to provide any route-to-market solution to generation assets (long-term PPA etc.) and BESS (tolling-agreement, profit-sharing etc.).

Stefano is Member of the Board of Directors in the two main Energy Associations in Italy: Elettricità Futura and Italia Solare.
